Every story begins somewhere. This one began with real people who taught me about courage, survival, and the power of hope.

While this book is written for children, its heart comes from a much deeper place — a world where finding your way home can be the hardest journey of all.

One day soon, I'll share the full story that inspired this tale. Until then, I hope you enjoy this gentler version of a much bigger truth.

For Adults

The children's book is meant to be a safe symbolic entry point into a much darker emotional landscape. Adults are meant to notice the echoes: separation, danger, captivity, grief, survival, and the search for a way back.

What to notice

  • The crooked path as dangerous false promise.
  • The land of the tricky monkeys as rule-bound exploitation and system failure.
  • The Queen, Skylark, and the rescue journey as the emotional heart of the companion link.
